Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP has been promoted by the Lohia Group and the promoters of NE Thermion (NET), Duliajan, both of which are based in the North East and have major investments in the region. Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP promoters have been pioneers in the Ferro-silicon industry of northeast India, since 1998.
Gasgen gets its name from the fact that the ferroalloys produced in this plant are from power generated through natural gas. Gasgen Ferro Alloy LLP is a new Ferro Alloys Plant with a 4 MVA submerged arc furnace for production of 3,500 TPA Ferro-Silicon along with a 3.8 MW Gas based Captive Power Plant at Duliajan in the District Dibrugarh of Assam State of India.
Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP has been a pioneer in the production of Ferro Silicon from gas-based power. The unit started commercial production in 2012, and in a very short duration has established a niche for itself in the ferrosilicon market by offering quality Ferrosilicon. Gasgen’s material quality is highly appreciated by its reputed customers, which is due to the usage of quality raw material and quality uninterrupted power.
About the promoters
Promoters of Gasgen Ferro Alloys LLP include Lohia Group and NET Group. The Lohia Group is one of the largest business houses in the Northeast region of India. The range of activity in the group includes core sector industries in Steel and Cement, other industries like Ferro Alloys, Low Ash Met Coke, Coal washery, Oxygen plant, Kraft Paper, AAC Block, etc. The distribution sector includes the sole distributorship of Tata Shakti GP/GC sheets, trading activities, Lifestyle retail, Delhi Public School in Guwahati, etc. The group has promoted many projects in the real estate sector in Guwahati and other places.
The second promoter, NET Group is one of the reputed groups in the northeast having interests in government contracting, construction, steel manufacturing, power generation, horticulture, and tea making industries.
